Olivier Martinez was born in Paris. He leaves school
very early, but manages to be admitted to the Conservatory in Paris at
the age of 23.
At the age of 28 he receives the Cesar (French Oscar)
for Best Aspiring Actor. In 1995 he has a huge public success in the
leading role of The
Horseman on the Roof by Jean-Paul
Rappenau.
Since then he has had roles in American movies such as
"Before Night Falls" (a movie about Cuban writer Reinaldo
Arenas) and "Unfaithful" with Richard Geere.
