Professional Experience

International Marketing and General Manager
Worked in this capacity for a Taiwan consumer electronics manufacturing and trading company. Grew overall business by 250% in one and a half years through expanded international marketing efforts, which distinguished this firm as the number one Taiwanese exporter for their product category. Full P&L responsibilities, including product development, international purchasing, international marketing, sales, and project management. Operations were diversified through the horizontal integration of international trading activities with major accounts in Europe and North America. Successfully negotiated licensing arrangements with Disney, through Japan, and implemented marketing efforts on Taiwan for Disney product lines. Appeared in several international electronic industry publications, including Asian Sources Electronics, about successful American managers within Taiwanese firms.

Trader of Engineering Products
Initiated a new international trading division handling industrial machinery and engineering products for a Taiwan affiliate of a German trading company. Completed international marketing proposals, developed new industrial machinery products for the European market, compiled supplier intelligence data, and focused on strengthening existing buyer relationships. Major duties included full P&L responsibility, negotiations and product development.

Director
Designed, organized, and implemented in-depth one-on-one international business consulting services, referral services, and group training programs related specifically to international marketing and trade development. Developed comprehensive network of international trade experts to ensure high value-added services for clients. Primary functional focus was on international marketing and international sales implementation programs. Heavily involved in design and implementation of international marketing audits.

General Manager
Developed and implemented the strategic plan for a retail/rental firm. Developed team approach to corporate development. Very successful in financial management and human resources development. Full P&L responsibilities. Developed operational policies and procedures, led sales training programs, integrated corporate planning functions, and developed a long-range strategic plan for the corporation. Responsible for all day-to-day operations.

Provided value-added international marketing and trading consultation services. Co-developed and co-authored specialized consulting programs and training manuals related to Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, which included import documentation, U.S. Customs compliance, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Export Administration guidelines, and steps leading to the activation of a general purpose FTZ. Provided consulting services to multiple companies located in the U.S. regarding logistics of setting up an importing/wholesaling operation, outsourcing, and product development procedures. Provided training programs at the U.S. Export Assistance Center specific to developing international business operational efficiencies and pricing. Provided specialized training programs to trade delegations in the field of business, business development, regulations, standards, and government.

President
Conduct value-added world wide web programming services. Design and deploy Internet web sites and applications, specializing in database web integration projects utilizing classic ASP and PHP programming. Develop customized search, mining and retrieval interfaces for knowledge bases (content management), which include robust intuitive database search and reporting systems. Develop and roll out decision-support web applications, and customized search engines.

Real estate investment management and principal investor. Residential rental properties and investment management. Emphasis on cash flow, asset appreciation, and estate planning, utilizing asset protection strategies.

Design, develop and implement detailed information brokerage services. Services include global coverage in a variety of specialized areas: competitive intelligence, detailed records of specific import/export shipments, credit reports, background investigations, criminal and civil records checks, global verification of employment and education, industry market share analysis, trade fair events, marketing research reports, and copies of actual corporate contracts (Financial Contracts; Employment Agreements; Corporate By-Laws; Articles of Incorporation; Corporate Rights Agreements; Organizational Governance Documents; Contracts related to Mergers and Acquisitions; Contracts related to Joint Ventures and Alliances; Contracts related to Purchase and Supply of Goods and Services; Lease Agreements; and Licensing Contracts). Value-added services additionally include the development of corporate best practice frameworks and intranets, project management and facilitation services for import/export transactions, and other solutions relative to impounded goods, duty reduction, reclassification, and the specialized use of foreign trade zones (FTZ) to strategically reduce liabilities.

Act as principal involved in international trade transactions and the development of trading relationships. This includes negotiations for offshore manufacturing, setting up distribution channels and sales organizations, import/export deals, product development, as well as strategies for long term market penetration. Markets based primarily on an Asian and European footprint.
